Embracing the Elements: Reflections from the November TLC Course

In November, we gathered for our TLC -an enriching EOL holistic education experience that coincided with the seasonal shift; shorter days and longer nights.

As the sun hung low in the sky and dusk approached, we sat in a circle, embracing the profound energy of the elements: earth, water, fire, and air.

This gathering served as a meaningfulreminder of life’s cycles. As we moved into the evening, our conversations naturally turned to the air element and its significance in relation to the body and spirit. Participants shared their reflections on how this elemental cycle relates to the journey of life, with the air symbolizing the breath of life, connection, and ultimately, release.

In this serene and humble space, we created an atmosphere of deep reflection and connection.

As the light faded, the warmth of our shared experiences illuminated the room, allowing for tender conversations about the process of dying and the comfort that can be offered by understanding the art of gentle dying.

Participants found solace in this quiet time, cherishing the opportunity to connect not only with each other but also with their own thoughts and feelings about life and loss. The gentle shift from day to night – showcased the beauty of embracing both the light and the dark.

By the end of the course, attendees left feeling nurtured, enriched, and united in a shared purpose of compassionate care. This TLC course reminded us that even as the day draws to a close, the bonds we create and the understanding we cultivate can carry us through the seasons of life.

We look forward to our upcoming sessions, where we will continue to explore the themes of connection, compassion, and the cyclical nature of existence.

Thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to the warmth of this gathering; your openness and presence made it a truly memorable experience.
