Conversations About Dying Wishes: Celebrating Our Project with Feast Cornwall

A project funded by FEAST Cornwall, to inspire conversations around 'dying wishes' by asking the question, "what matters to you?".....

We are delighted to share the success of a creative project funded by Feast Cornwall, which inspired heartfelt conversations about dying wishes among residents at Penrice Care Home – St. Austell, Cornwall. By asking simple yet meaningful questions, “What matters to you? What brings you joy?” we created a space for dialogue and connection supported by the creative arts.

The workshops centred around the elements of Earth, Water, Fire, and Air, accompanied by sensory objects, movement, sound, clay, and craft to enable residents to express their wishes and reflect on their lives. Residents created vision boards, offering a visual representation of what is important to them, guiding staff in understanding person-centered needs that contribute to living well, aging well, and dying well..
