The Companionship Café - What People Say

Thankyou for adding me to the companionship cafe group and to everyone there for making me feel so welcome and listened to at yesterday’s meeting. It was such a relief to be able to talk about my loved one in a safe space and I will definitely be coming back.

I’m so relieved to have come to this lovely group. I felt at peace in a safe and caring place – there is always someone here to help and talk too – if you need it.

I sometimes feel unsure about coming but I am always happy I did. There is always a warm welcome and I always feel supported and less alone.

The Companionship Cafe is the light at a very long and dark tunnel. Each time I come along it’s like an oasis of calm and I feel able to carry on.

“If I wasn’t here – I’d be asleep – depressed and alone – and that’s no good for anyone.

Creating and talking helps me to unwind and relax in to conversations and Im starting to make new friends and connections. Grief connects.

I feel grounded and relaxed and finally life makes sense again.
