Healing Through Herbs: A Memorable February at the Companionship Café

The Companionship Cafe in February welcomed Belle Benfield; Herbalist, Soul Sage and Artist to share how therapeutic herbal teas support grief.

In February 2025, the Companionship Café had the pleasure of inviting Bell Benfield, an artist, herbalist, and soul sage, to share her expertise on the healing art of herbs and their ability to repair and restore the nervous system during times of grief and loss. This event perfectly aligned with our mission to promote self-care and nurture emotional well-being as part of the grieving process.

Belle delivered her talk with grace and insight, exploring the healing qualities of various herbs and how they can support us during challenging times. Participants were then invited to engage in a creative activity, making their own teabags to take home—each filled with soothing herbs designed to offer comfort and calm when needed.

The session was a hive of conversation, connection, and creativity, as attendees shared their thoughts and stories while crafting their unique tea blends. The atmosphere was filled with great satisfaction and a sense of community, highlighting the invaluable role that self-care plays in navigating grief. Bell’s session not only educated but also empowered participants to incorporate these healing practices into their lives, creating a beautiful blend of art, nature, and emotional resilience.
