In April 2025, we were fortunate to welcome Rosie Hadden, a talented poet and end-of-life doula, to the Companionship Café. Rosie held a nurturing space for a unique creative writing activity, inviting participants to explore the profound questions: “What is love?” and “What is grief?” Through a blend of collage-making and reflective writing, friends had the opportunity to create, converse, and connect.
This engaging session provided a beautiful platform for individuals to share their thoughts and feelings about these deeply personal yet universal themes. As participants crafted their collages and expressed their reflections, the atmosphere filled with warmth and understanding, fostering genuine connections among those present.

Rosie’s workshop beautifully illustrated how creativity can bridge gaps and open pathways to connection, helping us to reflect on our shared humanity. We left the session feeling uplifted and more connected, carrying with us the insights and connections made during this memorable gathering at the Companionship Café.
