Exploring Advancements in Dementia and Palliative Care: Insights from the Rowcroft Hospice Conference

In March 2025; Christina and Anna attended the Dementia & Palliative Care Conference at Buckfast Abbey! What a day of learning and connection....

In March 2025, Christina and Anna had the privilege of attending a pivotal conference hosted by Rowcroft Hospice, focused on addressing the growing impact of dementia—currently the leading cause of death in the UK. This event emphasized the essential role of palliative care in enhancing the quality of life for those living with dementia, and it was a tremendous opportunity for insightful discussions and networking.

The conference provided Christina and Anna with valuable knowledge and inspiration that will greatly benefit No One Dies Alone Cornwall. The insights gained from expert speakers and fellow attendees will help inform our approach to supporting individuals and families navigating the challenges of dementia and end-of-life care.

By integrating these advancements into our work, we can continue to enhance our services and foster a compassionate environment for those in need. We are grateful for the opportunity to participate in such an impactful event and look forward to implementing what we’ve learned to serve our community better. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those affected by dementia and emphasize the importance of dignified, empathetic care.
