Embracing the Art of Gentle Dying: Sharing Insights at the “Living Well, Caring Well, Ending Well” Conference

In September 2025, I had the honor of presenting a talk and conducting a creative art workshop at the "Living Well, Caring Well, Ending Well" conference..... find out more -

This event was organized in collaboration with the Cornwall Voluntary Services Forum, NHS England, Cornwall NHS Foundation Trust, and Volunteer Cornwall, bringing together individuals dedicated to improving the end-of-life experience.

During the session, I explored the concept of Creative Ways for Advanced Care Planning, emphasizing the importance of understanding and expressing one’s wishes when it comes to end-of-life care. Through creativity, we can foster meaningful conversations that lead to deeper connections and empower individuals to take charge of their care plans.

Additionally, I highlighted our TLC (Tender Loving Care) courses, which provide valuable education and support for those who wish to make a difference in the lives of individuals at the end of life. By promoting these courses, I encouraged attendees to consider how they can integrate compassionate care into their practices while also nurturing their own well-being.

The responses were overwhelmingly positive, and it was heartening to see so many passionate individuals engaged in the dialogue about enhancing the quality of life and care for those facing end-of-life challenges. I’m grateful for the opportunity to share insights, inspire creativity, and connect with fellow professionals dedicated to this vital cause. Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to such a meaningful event.
